About BioQuest

Step through the door to discovery and global health with Seattle BioMed's BioQuest program.

BioQuest programming is unique. From malaria awareness-raising episodes of American Idol to local global health coverage in our local newspapers, teens are globally aware. There is unprecedented interest by young people to get involved in international global health efforts. Strong teachers, active parents and Seattle BioMed's scientists know that by making science education more relevant and engaging, as well as by enhancing the connection between school and work, we can change lives.

Seattle BioMed recognizes that attracting teens from a spectrum of communities to science-based careers takes more than a classroom lecture, poster, or email. Mobilizing youth passion and intellectual capital, the scientific “diamonds in the rough”, is what BioQuest is about. Our half-day job shadow programs for high school classes, individual student summer immersion programs and online resources are fun, timely, rigorous, relevant and career-launching!
